Energy Audits

Centrum-Krak launches a special offer for municipalities and counties. Energy Law imposes an obligation on municipalities to prepare two planning documents, to be passed by the municipal council.

  • Guidelines for the provision plan for heat, electricity and gas fuels (Article 19 - Energy Law)
  • The plan to supply heat, electricity and gas fuels (Article 20 - Energy Law)

The following are the responsibilities of municipalities concerning the supply of heat, electricity, and gas fuels (Article 18 - Energy Law):

1) planning and organizing the supply of heat, electricity and gas fuels in the municipality,

2) planning of street lighting and roads located in the municipality

3) funding for the lighting of streets, squares and public roads located in the municipality.

The municipality carries out the tasks referred to above in accordance with the state energy policy, local land use plans or decisions included in the study of conditions and directions of municipal land use.

The draft guidelines for the supply of heat, electricity and fuel gas are created by the municipality’s board for the area of the municipality and its parts. Energy companies make available free of charge their development plans concerning the area of that municipality as well as proposals needed to develop the draft guidelines.

The drafting of guidelines requires the initial data concerning the current state and municipal development plans, which are the result of the land use plans or the study of conditions and directions of land use. It is assumed that the rational solution is to select a 15-year time horizon with an update every 3-5 years. The draft guidelines should apply to all utilities that are of interest to the municipality, developed in a comprehensive manner, and include variant proposals.

The municipality’s draft guidelines for the supply of various energy media is needed, above all, to compare the requirements of the municipality with the development plans of energy companies. Where the plans of energy companies do not meet the required guidelines for the supply of various energy media the municipality’s board shall draw up a draft plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gas fuels. The plan is developed in accordance with the guidelines adopted by the municipal council and should be compatible with it.

The plan for the supply heat, electricity and gas fuels is a tool by means of which the municipality can achieve:
- Energy order of the interest to the community and its economy,
- Consistency of strategic objectives of socio-economic development of the municipality and the development plans of energy companies,
- Harmonious cooperation with all subjects of the local fuel and energy markets to ensure the supply of heat, electricity and gas fuels,
- Conditions for the existence of a competitive local energy market,
- The presence of foreign investors interested in developing energy infrastructure that meets the needs of the municipality.
